Scientific & Virology Services

Capricorn provides research and development capabilities built on influenza virus biology, viral vector engineering, and vaccine process know-how.

Custom Influenza Viral Vector Development

Capricorn Technologies offers commissioned research-stage design and development of attenuated influenza A viral vectors for human and veterinary vaccine research. The team has experience engineering recombinant influenza vectors expressing heterologous antigens, including a vector commissioned for the Flu-BA bovine brucellosis vaccine, subsequently developed and registered in Kazakhstan by an external partner.

Depending on antigen selection, technical specifications, and project scope, an initial candidate vector engineering project can typically be planned over approximately six months. Project timelines are subject to technical feasibility and mutually agreed specifications.

Additional Services

Reporter and Custom Research Viruses

Research stage influenza A reporter vectors, including fluorescence and luminescence based options, for laboratory studies and assay development. Project scope and material specifications are agreed individually.

Purified reporter vector T_NS124-2A-Luc was administered intracranially to Wistar rats at a dose of 7.0 log10 TCID50/animal in 10 μl.

Process Development & Purification

Evaluation of tangential flow filtration, diafiltration, concentration, and purification workflows for influenza viral vector preparations and other compatible research materials.

Partnerships and Technology Transfer

Collaborative R&D, vector technology development, analytical method support, and transfer of agreed process technologies to qualified industrial partners.
